SIC Life Insurance LTD has officially inaugurated its newly constituted Board of Directors at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Finance on Friday, August 29, 2025. The event marked a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing transformation agenda, as it welcomed a diverse and accomplished team of professionals to steer its strategic direction.
The nine-member Board is chaired by Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu, Member of Parliament for Wa West and includes experts from the fields of finance, insurance, public service and corporate governance. The full list of Board members is as follows:

The swearing-in ceremony was administered by Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem, Deputy Minister for Finance, who lauded the appointees and urged them to view their roles as a national call to duty. He emphasized the importance of providing visionary leadership to reinforce SIC Life’s position as a market leader in Ghana’s life insurance sector.
Hon. Ampem also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening state-owned enterprises (SOEs), encouraging the redirection of public and government business to these institutions. He challenged SIC Life to innovate and operate efficiently to attract and retain government-related businesses.
In his inaugural remarks, Board Chairman Hon. Peter Lanchene Toobu expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for the appointments and pledged the Board’s dedication to working collaboratively in support of the Government’s reset agenda. He assured stakeholders that SIC Life is poised to deliver transformative results within the coming year.
